In Reply to: Nathaniel Aaron, died 1862, probably Kentucky by James Morgan of 1078

Nathaniel was brother to my Elizabeth Aaron who married Timothy Frogue Collins. He was born to George Aaron and Elizabeth Ennis about 1835 in Adair County, KY; married Mary Elise McFarland November 2, 1859, Adair County, KY; died May 18, 1862, St. Lewis County, MO. According to my source, he is buried at National Cemetery. The 1860 census of Adair County, KY: Aaron, Nathaniel, age 25, school teacher, born Adair; Mary E., age 19, housekeeping, born Blount Co., TN. Nathaniel and Mary had two children. In a letter dated Nov. 12, 1879, Elizabeth Ennis Aaron wrote: "... Nathaniel, he is dead, left two children. They are both grown and teaching school." No further record on Mary Elise. Possibly some of this will help you find her or more information on her. I do see you have spelled her last name differently.
