Jesse - None of the names you mentioned ring any bells, but then I just found out about the Cabrera relationship. If I come across any names you mentioned I'll keep you in mind. Have you tried contacting the church in Corpus Christi or the Archdiochese of San Antonio to see what records they have?
Apparently there were tons of Canary Islanders that immigrated to Texas. My understanding is that the church in Laredo, Tx. also has some holdings you may be interested in.
Oh and try searching directories for some of your relatives and call - I have found several relatives doing this. Good Luck H
