I am sending you information I found while researching the Cacho Family Tree. This information was found in a book in the Archivo de Simancas, Spain. "AT SANTANDER: In the place of Hinogedo, of the Municipality of Suances, jurisdiction of Torrelavega (Santander) lived another branch of Cacho and still another branch in the area of Peņacastilla, close to the city of Santander. From this house proceeded: 1. Manuel de Rivas Cacho, native of Peņacastilla, first Marquis of Rivas Cacho and a Brigadier of the Army. He went to Mexico and had a daughter, 2. Ana de Rivas Cacho, second Marchioness of Rivas Cacho and Countess of Jaba, who married Francisco de la Cotera y Salmon and they had, 3. Gertrudis de la Cotera y Rivas Cacho, Marchioness of Rivas Cacho who married Antonio Rodriguez de Pedroso y Soria, Count of Jaba. They had, 4. Maria Josefa Rodriguez de Pedroso Cotera y Rivas Cacho, Countess of Jaba, Marchioness of Villahermosa de Alfaro, who married Pedro Ramon Romero de Terreros, second Count of Regla (later Duke) and first Marquis of San Cristobal."
