Hello--
I've been in contact with you before about the possible parentage of David Sydney DABBS as I'm a descendent of his son Robert Huntley DABBS. I hope you're on to something here. As far as your question, I have 14 children of David Sydney (7 boys and 7 girls), none of which have a name anything like Matt--no Matthew, Mattie, Matilda, etc. I do remember seeing somewhere on a genealogy bulletin board where Josiah DABBS had been shown as the father of David Sydney. I can't remember where it was, but will post if I find it. Good luck with your work, and thanks for your help in the past with your information on John Augustus DABBS, my great-grandfather.
