I am descended from John Stephen McFadden (older brother of James b. 1701 Derry, IRE) b.1700 IRE d. 1777 Rutherford, NC. His father is Andrew McFadden b.1675 island of Mull- Scotland, d.1753 Arrowsic Island, Lincoln, ME. John S. and James' mother was the 1st wife of Andrew McFadden. Her name was Mercy Mallory b. 1683 Scotland d. 1693 Derry IRE.
Andrew's 2nd wife was Jane Lindsey b.1687 Derry IRE. d. 1776 USA. They had 3 childred together. Andrew with Jane and 4 children emmigrated here on the MacCallum in 1718-20 .
My records show that James married Rebecca Pierce abt. 1728 and that James died 1/6/1754 Georgetown, ME.
My family line has kept the Mc. I have lots of info. for John Stephen's line if you're interested.
