"Last rites at St. Gabriel's for Fulda woman - Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 21 at 10 a.m. from St. Gabriel's Catholic Church of Fulda for Mrs. Anna Haberman, 83, who died July 18 at Maple Lawn Home, Fulda. Rev. Edward Scheuring officiated. Acting pall bearers were Don Appel, Harry Appel, Bernard Ramert, Jack Wisdorf, Bernard Wisdorf, and Bernard Fiedler. Burial was in St. Gabriel's cemetery. Anna L. Ramert Haberman was born April 25, 1887 in Belfast Township, Murray county, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Frank and Josephine Busch Ramert. She trew to womanhood in Belfast Township and received her education from Dist. 84 school. On November 22, 1910 she and Frank Haberman were united in marriage in St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Fulda. Following their marriage they farmed in Des Moines River Township until 1920 when they moved to Fulda and operated The Star Route, a bus and mail service. In 1925 they returned to farming until their retirement in 1948. They then moved back into Fulda. Mrs. Haberman was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church of Fulda and an active member of the Altar Society and Ladies Aid. Preceding her in death were her husband, who died December 22, 1955, her parents, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include her five children: Mrs. Harold (Lucille) McDonald of Tampa, Florida; Mrs. Floyd (Verna) Naatjes of St. Paul, Minnesota; Ervin F. Haberman of Fulda; Lester Haberman of Hartford, Conn.; and Kenneth Haberman of Anaheim, California; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five brothers and three sisters: Mrs. Ida Ella, Mrs. Mary Appel, Emil Ramert, Bill Ramert, Jack Ramert, and Clarence Ramert, all of Fulda; Mrs. Harry (Gunda) Hough of Marshall and Fritz Ramert of Ruthton.
