Does anyone have ties to the Ibbotsons in Thresfield, York?
My family line lived in "Ling House" there and made besoms from 1604 (unconfirmed) until "Beasom Jamie" died in 1926. My father Charles Edward son of John (Jack) son of William all came from Sheffield. I am interested in corresponding with anyone that comes from this line of the Ibbotsons. For those of you that are interested in Canadian Ibbotsons,I have some ties to a Robert Ibbotson (1831-1909) that moved to the Arthur, Wellington, Ontario area in Canada. William and Robert were brothers.
