I have just started to put together my family tree, and I have found the Jacobus side to be very interesting. I have been stumped so far with Peter W's father. I think his name may also have been Peter W Jacobus b approx 1800 d approx 1850. I know his mother was Hester Lindle b 1814 or 1815. Hester's father was Jacob Lindle b 1790, mother Rebecca b 1789. All the history suggests that they were all born in Caldwell, Essex, New Jersey.
My Great Grandmother was Peter's daughter Ione b 1880. She married Edward William Smith (Schmidt) in 1899.
If anyone has information on this Jacobus family, I would appreciate hearing from you.
