Terry: My gg grandfather Jessie Edwards and his brother John Edwards served as privates with Captain Archibald Jacoway during the Florida Indian Wars.. also a John Elliott-another kinsmen... I show James Caperton as 1st Lieut, and Robert Rogers as 2nd Lieut. ...Do you know where Capt Jacoway is buried.. My ancestors were from the Upper Hurricane/Putnam Mountain area of Madison County..Jessie's brother George Edwards also died during the Florida Wars..I think he served under Chisolm's Bat. Where could I find more information about Capt. Jacoway and the actual battles they participated in.. do you know if there is any microfilm available..giving more details?
