Kacsur Family Genealogy Forum

That's great. Please scan and post! I would love to see them. I'm sure we can find someone to translate. One post on the Slovak forum should do the trick. I'd even tackle it myself with a dictionary. I've done it with Hungarian and Romanian, and I don't speak a word of any!
What the letters mean is that your family was probably from northern Hungary, now Slovakia. Steve Hadar who posted here has Hungarian ancestors from what is now Slovakia. Their town was in Ung Megye, Hungary before the border changes. My family was from about 10 miles away from Steve's, also in Ung Megye, but their town ended up in Ukraine.
We should at least try to extract an address from your leters to see where your ancestors were from. That's the most important step in doing genealogy overseas.
