Samuel La Force was one of two Samuels and I am not sure which.
One Samuel La Force was the son of William Bailey La Force of Woodford Co, Ky. All of William's sons moved to IN
and IL. If this Samuel was the son of Sarah Goodwin and
not 2nd wife, Nancy Holeman, he would be the likely
one----Sarah's father was Daniel Goodwin and William had
a son named Daniel G. La Force.

The other was the son of Samuel La Force,SR b. ca 1750
Goochland Co, Va. Samuel,JR was born in Botetourt Co, VA
ca 1780s and was living in Breckinridge Co, Ky ca 1818.
Personal Property Tax List for 1819 lists him as moved to
IN.
