Nancy was the daughter of Robert William La Force,Jr and Jane Watson. She was born in Clark or Scott Co, KY ca 1798.
Robert William La Force, Jr was the son of Robert William La Force b. Aug 27, 1756 in Goochland Co, Va and Nancy Coleman.
There seems to be some controversy about this family but I found the marriage records for Jane Watson and her brother Patrick Watson who m. Robt. William's sister Nancy La Force in Clark Co, KY in 1795. Their brother Rane La Force signed for her to marry. Jane was over 21 at the time of her marriage ----and 3 months pregnant.
The Felix Garrard La Force who was the Adm. of John M.'s Estate was a brother to Nancy, dau of Jane.
Another La Force--James Logan La Force m. Martha McGee.
Could she have been a relative of John M.? She had a
brother John McGee. I know that there were several McGee
brothers in the Clark/Scott Co, KY area and all had children named the same.
