Hi, David I appreciated the information that you gave us. I had just been working on their family and you helped. James R. had two children, names, Carl F. and Nettie. They never married. They lived together after their mother died on the 1930 census. Emma's sister, Virginia was deaf and dumb, I wondered if it might have been an hereditary thing and that they might have had it, too. Virginia, the mother was married to a Robert G. Stevenson. Emma's name on the census with her parents was Emerila. She had a brother named after his father. Rober G. On the 1860 Census there was a Mrs Hicks, Age 37, NY living with a Downy family with her daughter Catherine Laforce, the right age for Harriet Catherine Leforce, Roberts M.,daughter. I know nothing about Mary after that, If that was her, I thought that she was born in Missouri. What was the 1882 occasion that you mentioned. James R. was with the Samuel and Susanne Erwins' family on the 1860 Census. In 1870 he was in Macoupin, Ill with his grandmother Virginia just before he and Emma was married. Any other information that you have, I would appreciate. I followed Caty through the 1880 Texas census. I couldn't find them in Arkansas. Thanks, Betty Notify Administrator about this message?
