Hi My name is Stewart, I live in Hawick in the Scottish Borders (18 Miles from Melrose. My two sons Keith & Steven & myself are currently putting together a family tree. From the research we have do so far, we can traced back to a John Mabon (born around 1720 ?), who was the father of William. William also had a son called Thomas, born 11 March 1790, who my sons and I are desendent from. If you go to www.themabons.co.uk and click the "Mabon family Tree" link its all documented. We spent time in the local archives yesterday so this is all new info, hope to update the site by the weekend.
