HI Catherine,
I would love to collaborate with what I have on the Mabon family. I am not at all sure about the connection from Pennsylvania to Scotland. My husband's great grandfather's name was John Mabon Reid, he was born in Indiana co. PA to William Reid and a Margaret Mabon. The Margaret Mabon I was given cannot be correct because of her birth date 1856 ( Wm b 1812 and John M b abt 1838). My records show Margaret was the daughter of Thomas Mabon and Jane McLeary. Jane Mabon, a sister of Margaret, married Thomas S. Reid (brother of William) and another Margaret Mabon of Penn. married David Say a cousin of the Reids. Do you have anything on any of these people?
