Charles was born in 1804. He married Catherine Johnston on 29 June 1830 and they lived in Tallant(just SE of Bowmore). Charles was an AG Labourer in the 1841 UK Census and a "maltman" in the 1851 Census. They had 5 children: Ann 1833, Catherine 1835, John 1837 (my Ggrandfather), Duncan 1840? and finally Margaret 1843. I believe Charles died in Scotland in 1854. John and Ann left for Canada in 1854.They all eventually wound up in Victoria County Ontario and are found in the 1861 CAN Census.

Does anyone have any information on Charles and Catherine? brothers, sisters, parents? Birth dates, expiry dates, cemetaries, locations addresses??? Thanks everyone for your interest.
