By any chance did a daughter of the Mathias Nace line marry & have a son, Mathias Harmon. I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . One of our men is Joseph Harmon b. 6 Dec 1845 near Cairo, IL. His parents were Mathias Harmon & Rebecca Johnson. Both parents d. the same day of black diphtheria in 1850 leaving 4 sons. Joseph, at the time was about 5 years old. He was taken to Indiana to live with relatives and ended up in the home of George Nace who brought his family to Wisconsin in a covered wagon pulled by oxen. Joseph lived with the Nace family until he enlisted. I am searching for the birth, death, & burial of Mathias Harmon & Rebecca Johnson, also for the siblings, if any of Joseph. The format we are using is as follows: (We have Joseph's service record) Date/place of birth: Son of (Names of both parents, their dates/place of birth & death & burial: marriage date and place(s) of residence.
