Thanks for the quick response.

I originally found a listing for Alhaner Obanion online and double checked the film at the public library. With the faintness of the images, came the belief a family number would be more readily identified than a name. The birthplaces all appeared to read KY and the misspelling of his name led me to suspect the possibility the enumerator was given information from another member of the household who didn’t know his father was born in VA.

I do not have any other info on Martha other than she was enumerated with him in the afore mentioned 1880 census along with brother A.J. and a servant named Sallie McGuire/McQuire. I’m uncertain where Alcanon is buried but am leaning towards the likelihood of Poplar Run because of the burial of previous wives there.

I don’t live in the area.
