Researching Lawrence O'Bryan/O'Bryon/O'Brien/O'Bryant of Anson County, NC. Lawrence and Francis O'Brien appear in Anson County records in 1773. The area where Lawrence O'Brien and his family settled became Richmond County in 1779. I am looking for any information concerning the location of Lawrence O'Brien prior to his migration to Anson County. An 1813 document in the estate folder at the NC Archives for Lawrence O'Bryon of Richmond County, NC identifies Nathan Matthewson as the administrator of his estate. In this document, Nathan Matthewson of Edgecombe County, NC is to appear at Rockingham at the Richmond County Courthouse on the 3rd Monday of September 1813. Was Lawrence O'Brien in the area of Edgecombe County prior to migrating to Anson County?
