I have recently started my search and I have several O'Connell's but not sure where to start looking.
I have a great grandmother, Annie O'Connell, b. Jan 2, 1860 married to Olivier (Oliver) Gravell (Gravel) July 2, 1878 at Wolfe Island, Ontario. The marriage registration is noted below.
Registration # 2667-78 Olivier GRAVEL, 24, Merchant, St. Eustash, Montreal, s/o Pierre GRAVEL & Flavie LAVALLIE, married Annie O'CONNELL, 20, Ireland, Wolfe Island, d/o Phillip O'CONNELL & Catherine McGUIRE. Witn Michael O'CONNELL & Catherine FLYNN, both of Wolfe Island, on 02 July, 1878, at Wolfe Island.
Oliver and Annie had 10-12 children (several died at or shortly after birth)

Also noted is a Michael O'Connell as witness to the marriage, however I don't know the relationship. Additionally, my Aunt recalls visiting an Uncle Mike (Mike O'Connell) in the early 40's and that his wife's name was Hattie so he may have been Annie's brother?
Any light to shed on this group it would be warmly received.
