There are a couple of errors in your posting. First of all, it was Maria Pacelli, not Mary - secondly, it was Vito and not Vitto and third, the town they came from was Sulmona and not Summona.

You might be interested in knowing that your grandfather John had 4 brothers and 2 sisters - they were Giuseppe (Joe), Paul, James and Nicola and Regina and Christina.

Pope Pius XII's name was Eugenio Pacelli. Don't know if there was a connection or not but I was told Maria was his aunt.
