My Great-great-great grandfather, Henry PACEY, was born in Hoveringham, Nottinghamshire in 1822. His parents were Thomas and Mary (nee WRIGHT). He had four brothers that I know of: John, born 1812, William, born 1816, George, born 1820 and Edward, born 1824. I believe he also had a sister, who married a man whose surname was MARSHALL.
By 1850, when Henry married Sarah Ann Stone TAYLOR, he was living in Southampton, Hampshire. Sarah Ann was originally from Falmouth in Cornwall. On the marriage certificate Henry's father's occupation is given as "market gardener".
Henry and Sarah Ann settled in Southampton. I know of three further generations of the PACEY family who lived in Southampton.
