Hi, Susan:
I hope I can help, but I've been orphaned since I was 5, so it's very difficult to know if I'm on the right track or not.
From the information I have gleaned over the years, I am related to William James Pacey, a printer, who married one Alice Marriot of Skellingthorpe. I believe they were from northeastern England, possibly Lincoln, Hampshire, or one of those counties. William and Alice begat Frank Albert Pacey, born September 12, 1879. Son Frank Albert was a fireman with H.H.N.G.S. in the County of Lincoln. I seem to lose track of siblings, descendants, etc., from then on to the present day (my own family). My own father, son of Frank Albert, was called Frank Henry Pacy.
So if you think we're related from the above, welcome to the whacky world of the Pacys (somewhere along the way someone with authority, self-imposed or not, changed the spelling of the name, or maybe changed it back to its original spelling (which in Italian means PEACE - Pace). So we may even be related to the huge Pace family in the U.S. They're so large they have their own website.
You can email me directly at tonitor1@hotmail.com if you feel so inclined. Take care, Toni
