Calling All Q's

I wrote the 1987 book “The Quackenbush Family in America” (google “Gail Richard Quackenbush” for more information on the book which is now out of print). When I wrote the book, I had access to very little of the 1870 census and none of the 1910, 1920 or 1930 censuses. With these census records, plus everything else available today on the internet, I am now able to track many more lines than were in my book.

I will be happy to share information with anyone with a Quackenbush connection including these common variations: Quackenbos, Quackenboss, Quakenbush, and Qualkenbush. My index contains almost 20,000 members of the family, from the 1600’s to the present.

The 1930 census includes 75 John Q’s and 82 Mary Q’s, so just saying that you are looking for a John and Mary Quackenbush doesn’t give me much to work with. Please give me as much information on your Quackenbush connection as possible, including dates and places, if known. Any format you have is fine. Anyone born after 1930 is difficult to trace since no census records are available after that date.

You can email me directly at quackenbush@the-beach.net. That is a dash or hyphen between “the” and “beach.” Or, you can post a followup response to this message.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Rick Quackenbush (Gail Richard Quackenbush)
