Hi Kirk: I am the great granddaughter of Joseph Quarterman, born 11 April 1812 in Garsington Oxfordshire England and died 8 July 1896 in Camden County Georgia. He came to America as a stowaway with two of his brothers. I do not know if Martha Brockington's father was the captain of the ship he came on but I do know that this captain visited him several times after he came here. He was approximately 15 years old when he came from England. I have the genealogy from my family back to Ralph Quartermaine born in about 1606. Ralph is my ggggg grandfather. Be glad to share what I have with you. I knew about John Holmes Quarterman but do not have Albert Carroll in my records. I have not researched many of the cousins as I have not been at this too long. Hope to hear from you.
