I have some new information on Augusta Rabenhort, that is probably different from that imformation shared with you previously. I notice that we have different dates for Augusta's birth ...also Amelia also married a William Maass then later Herman Schutte, wheras, Augusta first married Friedrich (Fred) Maass, and later Albert Gerth...but I am not sure of order. I located a Frederick Rabenhorst - perhaps a brother of Ferdinand. Frederick Rabenhorst b. 1817 d.1884 and was from Burow, Pommenern, Germany. I believe Pommenern is part of Poland today. Ferdinand Rabenhorst was born in Regenwalt, Germany. His exact birth and death dates are unknown. We do know that Ferdinand was a carpenter by trade. He died unexpectedly when a tree or log fell on him. I have that he was born in 1819 but do not have an exact date, nor does the family known his parents names. Therefore, tracing him and his ancestors has been a real struggle. Ferdinand Rabenhorst married Ernestine and/or Albertine Sieg (Zuge/german) in and around 1855. The exact date of their marriage seems also to be in question. They were married in Hegenfelde, Germany, which is a province of Pommeria, Germany and they moved to Gardien, which is in the same province, which is now part of Poland. Together, they had seven children. Two of the children died early. Their names were Carl Rabenhorst and Marie Rabenhorst. They should be buried in Gardien Province. Five children survived...their names where Augusta(1856), Amelia(1859), Herman(1865), Elizabeth(1870), and John(1863) Rabenhorst. More info: LDS search on Albertina Sieg came up with Albertine Sieg and others all from Battrow, Westpreussen, Preussen Albertina shows up in the 1900 US census in Minnesota living with daughter Amelia and is 74 years old. The censis would indicate that Albertina came to the USA in 1884, I have Alertina Sieg as maiden name but obit says her maiden name was Ernestine Zuge......so I am changing. ...................................................................................................................................................... 1870 US Census - remember Ernestine arrived in 1884-but had some brothers and sisters already living here.
