I am interested in the connection between Tackaberry and Horton. My grandfather, George Edwin Tackaberry (the one who invented the Tackaberry skates) was sent to live with a Horton family near Clifford, Ont after his father was killed in an accident. The Hortons had a son, Cyrus, who was about the same age and the two became good friends. We have been told that the Hortons were related, but I have not been able to figure out how. Do you know anything about this? My grandfather's grandfather came to Canada about 1818 and settled in Yonge Twp, Leeds County. So did the Hortons I believe.
