I am not able to help with specifics from the information you supplied. I would assume, however that you would be able to find a direct line to Corwall, England, where the name seems to have originated. If you are interested, there is a book available that is the culmination of more than 10 years of research by my father, James S. Udy. The book is titled "A Pride of Lions - The story of Cornish Family called Udy". I don't know where you can get it in your area but I think my mother still has copies in Australia. Please contact me if you would like me to find out costs and shipping details.
