DIED -- in Stockton, Thursday evening, April 9th, after a protracted illness, of consumption, Charles L. OSBORN, aged 34 years. [Funeral services at the First Presbyterian Church, at half past 2 o'clock today.] [Deceased emigrated to this State from New England in 1846, with STEVENSON's New York Regiment, and has made it his home ever since. For several years he was a citizen of Calaveras county, where he was held in high esteem by all who knew him well. Some 3 years since he came to this city, engaging in mercantile pursuits, in which business he continued until the day of his death. He was remarkable for probity, a modest, unobtrusive bearing in society, and in his death leaves an aching void in the hearts of his friends and nearest acquaintances.]

FUNERAL -- The obsequies over the remains of the late Mr. Charles L. OSBORN took place yesterday afternoon at the Presbyterian church, Rev. Dr. HAPPERSETT officiating. The attendance comprised a wide circle of personal friends and acquaintances of the deceased, summoned to pay the last tribute of respect which the living owe the dead. The remarks of the officiating clergyman were exceedingly appropriate to the occasion, and carried with them an impression of their truthfulness and applicability to all who were listeners, with a force which cannot but be productive of good. The remains of the deceased were interred in the Rural Cemetery.
