Valadez from Jalisco

Most recently my branch of the Valadez' family settled in a small town near San Francisco del Rincon, Guanajuato where my Great Grandfather Vicente Valdez came with his immediate family to a Rancho named El Maguey. Of my GF's siblings only he and one brother had children, and all of my GF's sons now reside in California--Juan (my Dad), Alfonso, Francisco and Angel. Their GF (my Great-GF came from a small town named Santa Maria del Valle in Los Altos de Jalisco. I've never been there but my paternal GM told me that they apparently moved to GTO secondary to some floods--it must have been around the late 1920's early 1930's. I know my Great GF had brothers whom my GM often spoke of, one of which was a titiritero (sp?) puppeteer. I don't recall his name. I have many cousins here in California but unfortunately we don't keep in touch.
Because of our common frusturation of having our name misspelled as "Valdez", it is always nice to connect with other Valadez'
