Who was Richard of Nunmonkton's (b1733) father?

Having read Rev's Waddy's book, I would like to know if there has been any evidence linking Richard of Nunmonkton (b1733) to the Thomas Waddy (1708-1752) who was born in Wexford. Rev Leonard (& Judge Waddy 1830-1902) seemed to think that this was most likely, but does anyone else have a view? Possibly members of the Rotherhithe family and those who have researched Clougheast will know?
