Action by the Police Department—The Funeral and Interment
A meeting of members of the police force to take action on the death of the late ex-Inspector George A. WADDY was held at Headquarters to-day. Superintendent CAMPBELL presided and Inspector JEWETT acted as secretary. Captains RHODES, WOGLOM,McLAUGHLIN, MacKELLER and CAMPBELL as a committee drew up the following resolutions: Whereas George A. WADDY, late Inspector of Police, after long suffering has passed
away from this life: therefore, Resolved, that the late Inspector by his long, faithful and active services has
made himself a reputation long to be remembered by the Police Department of the City of Brooklyn and especially to those who have been intimately associated with him in
its affairs. Resolved, That as a citizen the people of this city will with us deeply deplore his loss. Resolved, That we sincerely sympathize with his bereaved wife and children in the loss of a loving husband and kind father. Resolved, That we attend the funeral of our late associate in a body, and a copy of this preamble and resolution be sent to his family. The remains of the late Inspector will be interred at Elizabeth, N. J., on Sunday next. Services will be held at his late residence in the afternoon. Flags are at half-mast at Headquarters and in all the station houses. I am not related & have no other info.
