Staci, I read your posting and was struck by the frequency in which the WADDYs, STREETs, and THOMPSONs intermarried. I suspect that "my" Elizabeth STREET (b. Abt. 1770) m. Rev. War veteran Jennings THOMPSON (b. 19 Dec 1761 in Amelia CoVA) in Pittsylvania CoVA in 1790, descends from the same family. Their children were: George Pyrant (my 3great-grandfather, m. Jane INGRAM), Anderson, Samuel H., Anna, Polly, Mary Ann, and Elizabeth "Betsy" THOMPSON. George Pyrant served in the War of 1812, and he and Jane had children: George Washington, Martha Jane, Alexander Jennings (my 2great-grandfather, m. Charlotte Adeline CANNADAY), Elizabeth, William Pleasant, Samuel B., Elkanah, Exoney A., Sarah Frances "Sally", John P., Waddy B., and Mary M. THOMPSON. Have you any information that can help me find the origins of "my" Elizabeth STREET? Might she be in your "boatload? Any help would be appreciated. I don't know where she was before 1790, but one researcher suggested she might be the daughter of Richard STREET, who went to NC.
