I found a land grant for 1860 that has changed hands a few times. It was originally for Hezekiah Rupell Private, Captain Brown and Town company, VA. Militia, War 1812.
It was given to John C. Murphy then to John P. Davis.
I searched the VA records and couldn't find anything on Rupell. I would like to know if he is any relation to John C, Murphy. John P. Davis is i think, John C. Murphy's son-in-law. They later moved to Union County,AR. Also if John Murphy was in the military. He was born in GA. 1770. Thanks,
